The Sonimix 2130 NOx converter tester has been designed to generate a stable NO2 concentration with a small reaction time. It is based on the sonic nozzles technology (ISO 6145-6 technology) and high stability pressure regulators.
The NOx converter tester is often used together with a multi-steps gas divider also based on sonic nozzles and high precision pressure regulators.
In order to validate NOx measurements, the efficiency of the NO2 converter must be higher than 90 %, it is therefore very important to check easily and precisely the efficiency of the NO2 converter.

The multigas calibrator with GPT, ozone and self re-generable zero air generator, Sonimix 3012/3022, is an instrument designed to calibrate manually or by remote control up to 6 monitors installed in an air pollution monitoring station, such as SO2, HC, BTX, CO, NOx and O3.
The Sonimix 3012/3022 is equipped with
– an inlet for high concentration mixtures of diluted gases such as NO, NO2, SO2, CO, HC, BTX or mixtures of several compatible polluants in the same cylinder.
– a zero air generator composed of an internal compressor with self re-generable filters that removes moisture, O3, NOx, SO2, HC, BTX and optionally CO and CH4.
– a binary gas dilutor with two inlets (diluted gas and air), based on sonic nozzles (ISO 6145-6 standard)
The ozone generator is regulated by UV-light feedback and compensated from the atmospheric pressure and ambient temperature variations, with alarm on the drift of UV-light as well as the circuits for the GPT.

The Sonimix 4001 is a stand alone ozone primary transfer standard able to generate ozone together with dry or wet air (optional) allowing to calibrate the ozone monitors in several points. It generates an outflow of 3 Nl/min air containing 10 to 1000 ppb O3, with stability and reproducibility of the concentration better than 1% relative. The extended range model generates 10 ppb to 10 ppm at 3 L/min and 10 ppm to 35 ppm at 0.9 L/min.
The Sonimix 4001 is using pressure regulator and sonic nozzles and an ozone generator including thermostatisation and regulation by UV light photometer measurement with atmospheric pressure and temperature corrections (US EPA method of UV absorption by ozone, Beer-Lambert law). The ozone analyser is built with 1 reference UV light detectors that measure in alternance the UV intensity without any ozone and then the same UV light but through the generated ozone. With these 2 values, the processor calculates the amount of ozone generated.

The multipoint multigas calibrator SONIMIX 6000C1 is an instrument designed to calibrate manually or by remote control up to 5 gas monitors installed in an Air pollution monitoring station, such as SO2, HC or BTX, CO, NOx and O3.
With the optional Ozone generator and GPT circuitry it is possible to verify the coherence of NO, NO2 and O3 analysers, and to determine the converter’s efficiency of the NOx monitors.
The interface allows to Configure the calibrator and to perform the manual operations of calibrations and GPT necessary after the maintenance process on the analysers.
Equipped with a binary gas mixer, based on high precision mass flow controllers and mechanical pressure regulators the SONIMIX 6000C1 can generate accurate dilution to low ppb level.

The multigas Sonimix 6000 C2 calibrator is designed to calibrate manually or by remote control up to 6 monitors installed in an air pollution monitoring station, for parameters such as SO2, HC, BTX, CO, NOx and O3.
The Sonimix 6000 C2 includes Mass Flow Controllers, GPT, ozone and self re-generable zero air generator and is equipped with
– an inlet for high concentration mixtures of diluted gases such as NO, NO2, SO2, CO, HC, BTX or mixtures of several compatible pollutants in the same cylinder.
– a zero air generator composed of an internal compressor with self re-generable filters, removes following components: moisture, O3, NOx, SO2, HC, BTX and optionally CO and CH4.
– a binary gas dilutor of two inlets (diluted gas and air), including 2 Mass Flow Controllers to generate the zero and other dilutions ratios going from 1/100 to 1/1000 (other values upon request).
The input pressures are monitored by two pressure switches. The ozone generator is regulated by UV-light feedback and is compensated from the atmospheric pressure and ambient temperature variations. It includes alarm on the UV power drift as well as the circuits for the Gas Phase Titration (GPT).

The PermaCal has been developed in collaboration with the METAS (Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology). The most complex configuration consists in a double stage dilution and permeation system. The device can be available in a portable or rackable casing. The portable version is equipped with a battery and an internal pump with dryer that will provide flow to the permeation oven during the transport. The oven temperature will also be maintained during this phase. To increase the autonomy during the transport, the device can be connected to an external 12V power supply (typically car battery).
A particular attention has been given to the possibility to link all the physical parameter (mass flow controllers, sonic Nozzles, temperature) to the national standards. The PermaCal is the unique device that has a temperature sensor used in the oven that can be extracted and calibrated.
The Oven of the PermaCal has enough place to accept more than 1 permeation tube. A “permeation lift” in the oven makes the change of permeation tube very easy. The permeation chamber is divided in 3 parts to optimize the number of permeation tubes that can be placed in the oven.
The insulation of the oven has been specially designed to reach a temperature stability of 0.015°C. The total uncertainty of the temperature, including the stability and link to the national standard is of 0.03°C.
In order to be used at very low concentration or specially corrosive gases, the critical parts of the device are coated with SilcoNert process.
A touch screen and LCD display make the use of the PermaCal very intuitive and user friendly.
